What is the water requirement for the HOSE STATION?

The system requires only 6 gpm, but we recommend you connect it to your 1.5" water supply line. This way, the hose tester will prefill the hoses for testing at a faster rate.

Can I supply the HOSE STATION with hot water?

Yes, you can supply up to 130°F water to the system without damaging it.

Do I need to hook up a drain line to the HOSE STATION?

No, the system was designed to park over a drain or sump. An optional drain hose kit is available for the unit, if required.

What are the electrical requirements for the HOSE STATION?

The system requires a 40 amp, 230 volt, single phase power supply.

Does the system come with a power cord?

The system is equipped with a 25' power cord without a cord end. Since there are so many different styles, we do not supply the cord end.

Do I need to supply a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) for the HOSE STATION?

Can I use more than one function at a time?

No, you can only use one function at a time since all functions use the same pump.

Is the HOSE STATION difficult to shut down in the middle of operation?

No, you can just push the emergency stop button at anytime and all functions will stop. You can return to the machine anytime to pickup where you left off.

Can the HOSE STATION wash more than one hose at a time?

Yes, you can wash two 1.5" hoses side by side, but this is not recommended. The system is designed to wash all sides of the hose. If you feed multiple hoses into the unit, it may not wash the hose completely.

Does the HOSE STATION wash the hose couplings?

Yes, the hose couplings will go right through the system's hose driver.

Do you have to feed each hose into the HOSE STATION one at a time?

No, after you start the first hose, just couple additional hoses on to the one being washed. The system will wash hoses continuously.

How fast does the HOSE STATION wash hose?

The system will wash up to 20 feet of hose per minute.

How do I change washing speeds on the HOSE STATION and can I change them on the go?

If a hose bursts while you are testing or filling the hose, you can isolate the hose by closing the valve for that test port.

Is the test port valve near the fire hose connection?

No, all the controls are on one side of the unit opposite the test port connections.

Do I have to bend over to hook up the hoses I'm testing?

No, all the test port are at waist height for easy hook up.

Are the test ports on the HOSE STATION individually valved?

Yes, each port is individually valved with a 1.5" full port valve.
